Having looked at the entire field of Republican candidates, Newt Gingrich stands out as the most serious and qualified to defeat Barack Obama and restore the nation to prosperity.

I’ll buy that. What Mr. Gingrich needs to win, however, is a “makeover” so that he’s not perceived as a wimp.
